Although the coastline has since evolved, the neighborhood still preserves its strong local identity, maritime roots, and vibrant community atmosphere.
Just 50 meters away, you’ll find the iconic Mercado del Carmen, located next to the Church of El Carmen, home to the Virgen del Carmen, the revered protector of fishermen. The market is a daily hub of life in the area, where locals gather to enjoy fresh regional products, seafood, coffee spots, tapas bars, and casual dining, a must-visit to experience Málaga’s culinary culture.
