Summary: The good: very clean (I am fussy and I was happy!) staff friendly & helpful - Aida is fabulous & without her the hotel would be a very different place, stacks of sunbeds, food varied & pretty good, comfortable beds, clean towels every day, pool view rooms convenient, 20 min walk to the airport ( fun to stand under a landing plane once in your life!) via Matagorda to the left, 20min walk to Puerto Del Carmen to the right, bus stops close, nice beach, accessible for the mobility compromised (not us but a good point to mention), chilled atmosphere, quiet at night. The not so good: no outside space to eat, relax, socialise & enjoy a drink, no net or mesh curtains on room doors so privacy very lacking - a big issue in ground floor rooms, rooms are small with limited space, no walk in shower, sunbeds crammed together & little room to move them to distance yourselves from others, hotel too small to have 'premium' and 'ordinary' level guests - felt devisive, on a hill so a lot windier all the time than down at the beach,. The bad: €18 EACH to keep your wristbands after 11am. on check out day. Shocking. Never had to pay anywhere in the world to keep a wristband and we have always been able to use facilities until we leave. Unacceptable so we chose not to pay. Premium guests (we weren't) would have to pay this too. €20 to keep your room for a late check out until 2pm. €40 to keep it until 5pm. Fair enough, you expect to pay something & we paid the €20 as it suited us.
