The historical architecture has been complemented with a sensible, modern, almost sacral interior that perfectly harmonizes designer classics and contemporary Art. Great emphasis was placed on environmental protection in the renovation of this beautiful country finca and now the house is almost completely self-sustaining through wind and solar energy conversion and the use of cisterns in the gathering of rain water. Behind main walls a metre thick and situated around a central inner courtyard, is the lofty, light flooded lounge with a ceiling that rises seven metres high. There is a bedroom on the lounge gallery with its own terrace that offers some spectacular views. The spacious kitchen and dining room are modern and cool an the very large bathroom also has its own patio to enjoy. The library is well stocked with a multitude of books on Art and Literature. The inner private courtyard beckons in the warm evenings to come out and enjoy the stars. Set in two hectares, the premises offer some interesting gardening concepts and many spacious terraces with panoramic views across the black fields of lava and the impressive cliffs at Famara.
