Positive: Owner was lovely - we were late arriving and he was very nice about it. Lovely lounge, property in excellent location. In the Summer it would be a (mostly) problem-free booking.

Negative: Bed was hard and uncomfortable and very squeaky. Kitchenwares needed washing up as they were dirty on arrival. Given this was a December/January booking there was no heating in the second bedroom, the bathroom or the kitchen. Temperatures drop to below zero overnight. The bathroom was freezing cold and stayed wet due to condensation and steam. The bath drainage was blocked. We asked him to fix it, he said he had but it was no different. We showered in ankle-deep water. Worst of all, the second bedroom was damp with some black mould on the walls. In the summer, most of these problems would not apply as it would be incredibly warm but the property needs to be updated for winter letting.

Summary: We had a great time on the island. The property is lovely but in desperate need of updating.
